Discovery as broadcasting partner, ‘Jay Jagannath’ is now available on POGO from May 20th at 9:30 am in six languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, and Malayalam. The new animated series, celebrating Indian culture and the theme of friendship from folklore, promises exciting adventures for kids and families. ‘Jay Jagannath’ is inspired by the revered tales of Lord Jagannath of Puri and the series chronicles the endearing friendship between Lord Jagannath, depicted in his youthful form as Jagan, and his devoted companion Balram. Through their learnings and adventures, viewers will be transported into the enchanting world of Jagannath culture, exploring its rituals and folklore while celebrating India's cultural heritage.
Produced by Vaibhav Studios, India's only Emmy nominated animation studio and directed by internationally acclaimed animation director Vaibhav Kumaresh, “Return of the Jungle,” the 105-minute, multi-genre animated feature film was showcased to the international audience during the Marche du Film at the Cannes Film Festival courtesy of National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), India. Toonz Media Group is on board as the sales agent for this animated feature film for worldwide territories excluding India. “Return of the Jungle” is set in contemporary India and revolves around a group of classmates from junior school who must outwit the biggest, meanest bully in the school. The movie draws timeless stories from hugely popular ancient fables called ‘Panchantantra’ and retelling them with a quirky and contemporary flavour.

The announcement of the winners of the Pulcinella Awards 2024 will take place during the Cartoons On The Bay (COTB) International Festival of Animation, Transmedia and Meta-Arts in Pescara from May 29th to June 2nd 2024. The Canterville Ghost is a warm, charming, and humorous tale about a ghost, Sir Simon, who has been haunting his ancestral home, Canterville Chase, for over 300 years but everything changes when an American family buys the estate and moves in.
We are pleased to announce that the fourth episode of AQUATEAM "On the sirens trail", co-produced by GraFFiti Creative and Toonz Media Group and released by Rai on April 26th has been selected for the "International Showcase\" section as part of Cartoons On The Bay's Pulcinella Awards 2024. The 24-minute new AQUATEAM TV special features champion of the environment Marysun and her inseparable sidekick, Otty the octopus. With photos taken by a friend of Desy seem to reveal a mermaid, AquaTeam Catamarin sets sail towards the Strait of Messina, the expert Marysun wonders: is the mermaid actually the “mythical” monk seal, considered extinct and ready to repopulate the area.
Creepy Candy Family is excited to announce the launch of the online shop featuring licensed merchandise for Creepy Candy, the 2D animated series from Toonz Media Group and Leadbelly Productions. Targeting children four to 11, the series features a bag of candy that mysteriously comes to life in a library on Halloween night. The candies, along with a library-dwelling spirit named Ty Poe, begin a spooky and comical adventure in which the candies try to avoid being devoured by Miss Page Turner, the evil librarian. The stories focus on the everyday life challenges the Creepy Candy face in their adventures in the old library, how they deal with them, and what lessons they learn.
Toonz Academy has been awarded Centre of Excellence status in the media and entertainment sector studies for the year 2024-25. The MOU signing ceremony took place at Toonz premises, with Mr. Mohit Soni, Chief Executive Officer of Media & Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) and Ms. Subbalakshmi Venkitadri, CFO of Toonz, signing the agreement. MESC is a Not-for-Profit Organization promoted by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) with financial support from National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and is engaged in initiating skill cataloguing for the Media and Entertainment Industry. The council plays a crucial role in standardization of affiliation, accreditation, and assessment process aligned with NSQF guidelines.
Mr. Vinod A S, Vice President – Academics & Training, Toonz Academy was nominated as a national jury member for the National Competition of Olympics of Skills – IndiaSkills 2024, in the Graphic Designing Technology category. The event took place in Delhi, where Ms. Subagya Gupta, a student from NIFT Karnataka, was selected as the national winner. She will represent India at the Skill Olympics 2024, to be held in Lyon, France. The IndiaSkills Competition 2024 is the country’s biggest skill competition designed to demonstrate the highest standards of skilling and witnessed the participation of over 900 students from more than 30 states and Union Territories and over 400 industry experts. Winners of IndiaSkills, with the help of the best industry trainers, will get prepared for the WorldSkills Competition scheduled to take place in Lyon, France in September 2024, which will bring together 1,500 competitors from over 70 countries.
